Healthy Lemonade

This is one of my proudest recipes.

I love love love lemonade and lemon flavored drinks, but they all require so much nasty sugar. Lemonade almost always ends up making my stomach hurt from all of the processed sugar (I’m guessing that’s why it always hurts?), so I haven’t had any in probably at least a year.

Then the other day, Mitchy and I went to a juice bar, and I saw one advertised as “lemonade” and made with “lemons, grapes, and apple” so I went to the counter and asked if those really were the only three ingredients. They said YES, so I obviously ordered one and drank it all immediately. And people, it was good. Like really good. Like the best lemonade I have ever had. With no stomach ache after!




I went home and made notes of how much of each of those ingredients I would probably need to recreate the drink, though I did make notes to lower my grape ratios and raise my apple ratios because their version was green, but I would much rather enjoy a nice yellow lemonade if I have the option.

I went to the store after I made my list, and I stocked up on a bunch of lemons, grapes, and apples. And with them, I made this masterpiece. I have been working extra hard lately to maximize my raw food intake, and juices like this help a lot.

Healthy Lemonade

A raw lemonade made with the juice of lemons, grapes, and apples.

  1. ♥ 2 lemons
  2. ♥ 4 bunches green grapes, about a 20 oz. bag
  3. ♥ 3 apples
  1. ♥ Peel lemons, pull grapes from stems, and core apples.
  2. ♥ Toss all fruits into a juicer on high speed.
  3. ♥ Drink dat lemonade.
  1. ♥ For more sweetness, add red apples. For more sourness, add green apples.
